The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will hold its annual retreat this week at the Little America Hotel convention center in Cheyenne.

The retreat begins Tuesday, July 14 and runs through Friday, July 17.

The meeting begins with a discussion with Wyoming legislators at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The board is also scheduled to meet with Governor Matt Mead at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday morning, the board is scheduled to interview representatives of three consulting firms to assist with the UW presidential search. They are expected to select one of the firms that afternoon. An update on the search is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

The search began after President Dick McGinity recommended earlier this year that the board begin looking for his replacement. The new UW president would take over after McGinity’s contact expires in summer 2016.

Other topics to be discussed during the retreat include capital facilities projects, UW proposed budget for the coming biennium, institutional fundraising priorities and issues related to enrollment growth.

Public testimony is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
