Black holes and dark matter will be highlighted as part of a busy October schedule for the University of Wyoming’s Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium.

There are four Tuesday night shows beginning tonight with “This Month’s Sky,” at 7 p.m. Plus Friday shows at 8 p.m., and even Saturday kid-themed shows at 11 a.m.

Planetarium coordinator Samantha Ogden was a recent guest during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show. She spoke with host David Settle about all that they going on this month, from the Halloween-based theme to the various shows, and even teaming up with the Geological Museum for their “Wyoming Rocks” celebration Oct. 13. Ogden also spoke about the length of the shows and where to find the planetarium.

Tickets are $3 for students and $4 for non-students. You can purchase tickets through the Department of Physics and Astronomy in their main office. It is located in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building. Tickets are also available online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ or can be purchased before a show if available. Cash or check options are offered for in-person ticket purchases. You can pay with a credit card online.
