UPDATE: Victim of Deadly House Fire Identified

Authorities have identified the person who died in a Cheyenne house fire Thursday morning.

Laramie County Coroner Ron Sargent says the victim was 68-year-old Sharon Stoner, a resident of the home.

Sargent released Stoner's name after Scott Smith, Projects Information Officer for the City of Cheyenne, told KGAB that the name of the victim would never be released because of Cheyenne Fire and Rescue policy.

The cause and manner of Stoner's death have not yet been determined.

Firefighters were called to Stoner's home at 3515 Amherst Road around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the blaze.
