A two vehicle wreck at Grand Avenue and Vista Drive late this morning resulted in three people being transported to Ivinson Memorial Hospital.

According to Lt. Gwendolyn Smith at the Laramie Police Department, police received word of the wreck at 11:18 a.m. Smith says the accident occurred in the west bound lanes of Grand Avenue. One vehicle entered Grand from the interstate and failed to stop behind another vehicle that was waiting at a red light at Grand and Vista.

The wreck and resulting debris caused the closure of through traffic on Grand Avenue for a period of time.

Smith says three people were injured and transported to Ivinson Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The nature of the injuries is currently unknown.

Smith says no one was ejected from their vehicle, but she did not know if seat belts were in use.

No alcohol or drugs are suspected in the crash.
