Two people are dead as a result of a 2 vehicle collision in Eastern Wyoming.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019, a fatal crash occurred at milepost 38 on US 18/20 near Lusk, Wyoming.

Around 6:13 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area for a two-vehicle collision.

A 1999 Chevrolet truck was traveling west on US 18/20 when the vehicle crossed the center line and entered the eastbound lane colliding head-on with a 1997 Pontiac car.

The driver of the Pontiac has been identified as 29-year-old Lusk, Wyoming resident Kyle Blake.

Blake who was wearing his seatbelt succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet has been identified as 76-year-old Manville, Wyoming resident Ewart Johnson.

Johnson was not wearing his seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

This is the 2nd and 3rd fatality on Wyoming’s highways in 2019 compared to 0 in 2018, 0 in 2017, and 1 in 2016 to date.
