Wyoming Air National Guard

71 years ago today, on August 11, 1946, the Wyoming Air National Guard was officially created. Over the years, the 153rd Airlift Wing has flown in the Korean War, Vietnam, the invasion of Panama, the Gulf War and the War on Terror. The group also assisted humanity missions in Bosnia, El Salvador, Haiti, Indonesia, Kosovo, Serbia and Somalia...

The public was invited to tour the plane, and its various missions and capabilities were demonstrated by the crew and support personnel who came along on the trip.

All eight of the C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft assigned to the 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard, took to the air for an historic event May 14.
