Winter Storm Warning

Five to seven inches of snow coupled with winds gusting as high as 55 mph could make for very difficult travel on Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne Thursday.

An incoming spring storm is expected to dump more than four inches of heavy, wet snow on Laramie and drop temperatures as low as 23 degrees.

Blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility along portions of Interstate 80 in southeast Wyoming tonight through Wednesday.

Wind Chill Advisories are in effect for most of southeast Wyoming and the northern Nebraska Panhandle starting at 5 p.m. this afternoon through 8 a.m. Thursday.

Much of southeast Wyoming and the southern Nebraska Panhandle is expected to see four-plus inches of snow this afternoon through Thursday morning.

Heavy snow is expected to blanket much of southeast Wyoming this weekend, with the mountains seeing as much as 18 inches.

Wind gusts in excess of 65 mph were also seen along Interstate 80 from Elk Mountain to Cheyenne.

Heavy snow is expected to blanket parts of southeast Wyoming and the northern Nebraska Panhandle Monday into Tuesday.

Another round of snow is likely Thursday morning through portions of the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Heavy mountain snow combined with gusty winds could make for blizzard conditions along portions of Interstate 80 in southeast Wyoming Thursday through early this weekend.
