A wanted Cheyenne transient is facing more charges after police caught him with a felony amount of methamphetamine.

An airman at F.E. Warren Air Force Base was recently recognized for actions which led to the capture of a wanted man and the recovery of a missing boy.

Cheyenne police are still searching for a wanted Cheyenne man who managed to elude them following a chase three months ago.

The release said that the suspect, in addition to the active warrants and the fact that he was driving with a suspended license, was arrested for felony eluding, numerous traffic violations, and possession of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine.

Police have yet to say whether a Cheyenne man they arrested Friday evening is believed to have been involved in the death of his girlfriend's son.

Cheyenne Police want people with warrants for non-violent crimes to know that they will be rounding up such offenders next month.

Civil rights advocates are calling for a permanent ban.

Police say 32-year-old John Hill was arrested near Bain Elementary School between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Friday.
