The University of Wyoming's Snowy Range Summer Theatre decided to kick off summer by tickling your funny bone. "The Santaland Diaries" is based on the true chronicles of humorist David Sedaris' experience as Crumpet the Elf in Macy's Santaland display and is playing nightly at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 9, in the UW Fine Arts Studio Theatre.

The senior community theatre group The Unexpected Company is performing "Fable, Foibles & Follies of Laramie City," which is billed as an hysterical, historical musical review. The show will cover Laramie history from 1860-1890.

Three months of hard work will come together in the form of the show, "Tribute: An Evening of Dance Celebrating Legends of the Music Industry" at the Cooper Center for Creative Arts, which provides authentic art opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Albany County Theater has several shows coming up soon, the first being Barrymore's Ghost. The show kicks off on November 3rd at 7:30 PM and plays nightly through November 5th at the same time. You can purchase tickets for the show online or at the Albany County Theater Box Office in the Civic Center; tickets are $12 a piece and there is a $2 discount for students, seniors, and the military. The University of Wyoming’s 2011 Snowy Range Summer Theatre and Dance Festival concludes on August 20th and 21st with “Vertical Dance at Vedauwoo: Rainbow Snake and the Red Desert.”

The 17th annual Snowy Range Dance Festival will be held at UW’s Laramie campus on July 20-31, 2011. This festival is incredibly important for pre-professional dancers as it gives them an extended period of time to focus on the art form while they get to study with distinguished faculty and professional companies.
