Snowy Range Ski & Recreation Area

Skiers and snowboarders haven't had too much to cheer about for most of the ski season so far, but that has all changed with recent storms dumping some much needed snow on the slopes. Cody Marshall of the Snowy Range Ski Area told us that the past week has yielded two feet of fresh snow to their slopes, just in time for their upcoming terrain park competitions.

I usually make it up snowshoeing a few times each winter and any time I have tried to run in snowshoes, I usually end up going falling on my face in the cold snow. I am guessing that snow shoe races are not quite that intense, but here is your chance to find out for yourself as the first annual snow shoe races kick off at the Snowy Range Ski Area.

After delaying their opening things are now up and running. The Snowy Range Ski Area is the closest location to enjoy an afternoon of skiing for Laramie residents and offers a variety of runs for beginners and advanced winter sport enthusiasts.
