Snow will continue across the Snowy and Sierra Madre ranges today through Monday where they may see another foot of snow. High Wind Warnings are also in effect.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a special weather statement regarding possible flooding for the areas surrounding the Sierra Madre and Snowy Mountain Ranges, including the cities of Baggs, Saratoga, Encampment, Centennial, Albany, Bosler and Laramie.
The Laramie Ranger District is planning a prescribed burn for the west side of Bald Mountain in the Snowy Range, near Centennial, in order to improve rangeland conditions for big-game winter habitat.

Fans of Sunday morning brunch in downtown Laramie will want to be on the lookout this weekend. There will be a few hundred racers zooming around on bikes as part of the second stage of the 2012 Dead Dog Classic Memorial Stage Race.
Up in the Snowy Mountains, the Forest Service maintains two cabins and one old fire lookout that are available for rent. These cabins provide a great alternative to winter camping for skiers, snow shoers, and snowmobilers, and they provide more comfortable accommodations in the summer for hikers, backpackers, and families.
