For the fourth consecutive year, Sydney Thorvaldson from Rawlins High School is the Gatorade Wyoming Cross Country Player of the Year.

Scott's death was not the only tragedy that occurred in Wyoming over Mother's Day weekend.

The chosen delegates receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. and a $10,000 scholarship from the William Randolph Hearst Foundation.
