The 7th Annual Big Laramie Duck Race will be Saturday,  August 27, 2011 Sponsored by Laramie Rotary Club.   Race starts at Optimist Park, Laramie Green Belt 9:00 a.m. free Pancake Breakfast  10:00 a.m. Ducks in the Water!

It has been 10 years since 8 University Cross Country Students where tragically killed on US 287 between Fort Collins and Laramie Wyoming. The Adam Towler Memorial 5K and 10K races took place on Saturday, July 16. Over 150 people ran or walked in honor of Adam Towler who tragically lost his life in Laramie in 2006. Adam donated much of his time to charity and church activities, and all race proceeds benefited organizations and causes that were special to Adam: St. Laurence O’Toole Elementary School, the Heart-to-Heart Pregnancy Cente

Adam Towler Memorial 5K/10K Race     The Adam Towler Memorial 5K/10K race will be held in Laramie Wyoming on July 16th. This annual charitable running event honors the memory of Adam Towler who was a well known cross country runner from Laramie, who died in July, 2006.

As a highly amateur commuter cyclist (by which I mean I typically spend more time on the pavement than on my bike) I greatly admire individuals who do the necessary training and have the discipline and endurance required for a challenge like the Dead Dog Classic Memorial Stage Race.
