Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is hosting a free stroke symposium on May 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the hospital’s main auditoriums.

Western states in a belt from Montana to New Mexico are looking for ways to lower their highest-in-the-nation suicide rates, although gun-specific initiatives are a touchy topic.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Laramie’s Washington Park.  Registration and check-in begins at 8 a.m. at the Otto Dahl Shelter.  The walk itself will go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  There is no cost to attend, but the event is a fundraiser for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to fund suicide awareness and prevention...
