Tanabe says Teton Village will be without power for four to six more days.

The company said it began re-routing power Tuesday night, but the outage could extend for several days in some areas.

Federal officials have already approved the rest of the project, but no work has started.

Officials warn any big increase could cause the Power Company of Wyoming to suspend development of its Chokecherry and Sierra Madre Wind Energy Project.

In addition to the three Laramie firefighters, three Laramie police officers responded along with one Cowboy Aviation employee and one Albany County Central volunteer arrived in a personal vehicle.

“It’s a good reminder to all of us that we should have emergency supplies ready in the event of an outage any time of year,” says Oler.

Fish and Wildlife estimates those turbines would kill 10-14 golden eagles and 1-2 bald eagles each year.

The company still faces challenges to completing the project.
