Rock Springs resident Christian J. Cosby will pay over $5,000 in fines and have his hunting and fishing privileges suspended for two years, after pleading guilty to the intentional illegal taking of a bull elk in 2017 and taking a mountain lion with an illegal caliber firearm in 2018

Cosby reportedly lied to investigators about the area in which he took the elk.

Lambdin's trial date has not been set.

They say 114 big game animal carcasses in varying stages of decomposition were found on Lambdin's property.

He says several hundred pounds of meat was left to rot.

They fled when they saw the landowner approaching.

He has already paid $5,000 and will pay $250 a month, starting Dec. 31, until the remaining debt is paid off

Herman determined the elk was killed by an arrow, likely between Sept. 22 and 24.
