On Sunday, Liz Cheney talked on "Meet the Press" about the current Russian invasion of Ukraine and what else the U.S. could be doing to address the situation.

She suggested the move would do more harm to NATO as a whole than to Germany’s own defense.

NATO's European allies are keen to keep the treaty intact.

The President also said he would ask NATO to become more involved in the Middle East.
