This won't be just another Wyoming cold spell.

Cheyenne, Laramie and most of southeast Wyoming are now facing Wind Chill Warnings, as opposed to the Wind Chill Watches that had been issued earlier.

The weather service is forecasting a low of -16 for Cheyenne and Laramie Wednesday night. Any winds could push the wind chill to brutally cold levels.

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says winds of up to 60 miles per hour and blowing and drifting snow will pose travel hazards through the day today.

Cheyenne is facing a blizzard warning until 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Heavy snow, winds of up to 50 miles per hour and windchills of -15 or more are possible in some areas.

While Laramie and Cheyenne are only expected to get about five inches of snow, Pine Bluffs and the I-80 summit are facing a blizzard warning.

Heavy snow, blowing snow, and blizzard conditions are expected across much of the region.
