University of Wyoming head wrestling coach Mark Branch was chosen as the Big 12 Wrestling Coach of the Year Monday.

A pair of 38-4 victories showed how dominant the Wyoming Cowboys wrestling team can be, as they closed out their home schedule last weekend.

The Wyoming Cowboys wrestling team is riding high after a 4-0 performance at the UNC Duals in Chapel Hill, NC last Friday.

The Wyoming Cowboys have five wrestlers competing at the NCAA Championships Thursday through Saturday in St. Louis, MO.

University of Wyoming wrestling had another great season, finishing #16 in the nation.

Wyoming junior Shane Onufer went 1-1 on Saturday to claim fifth place overall in the 165-pound weight class during the third and final day of the 2011 NCAA Championships at the Wells Fargo Center, while junior Joe LeBlanc was forced to forfeit his final two matches to finish sixth in the nation at 184 pounds after missing weight.

University of Wyoming wrestler Lee (LJ) Helbig will compete in the NCAA Championships this weekend, but unlike his competitors, he will wrestle in silence.
