Laramie Plains Civic Center

A Laramie man has been arrested after being found in a female restroom with a minor girl at the Laramie Plains Civic Center on Friday evening according to the Laramie Police Department. Commander Mitch Cushman reports that the 20-year-old was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor and says they are still investigating to see if this incident is connected to a similar incident that took place in August at Undine Park.

Fans started lining up at 1:30 in the afternoon, for Tuesday night's Mumford and Sons at the Gryphon Theatre in Laramie.

The British folk rock band Mumford and Sons has announced that they will play a concert at the Gryphon Theatre, in Laramie, on August 21st.

The Pretty Things Peep Show, a touring vaudeville review, will take the the stage at the Gryphon Theatre on Thursday June 28th.

A fundraiser for the popular Wyoming-based WHAT Festival is being held in Laramie Friday, June 29th. The fundraiser will feature the bands Whiskey Slaps, Kannibal Korpitz, It Gets Worse, J Shogren & The Shanghalved, and Beatgrass. "It's going to be a very eclectic night of music," says WHAT Festival organizer Carter Parks.

While Shel Silverstein is best known for his works created for children, he also wrote many songs, poems and one-act plays aimed at a much more mature audience. Albany County Theatre is presenting many of these works with An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, showing at the Gryphon Theatre Thursday, June 14 through Saturday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

A new star will shine at Laramie Montessori Community Organization's third STARRY NIGHT OUT event, benefitting the Laramie Montessori School. Carrie Elkin has performed at such events as South by Southwest, Lilith Fair and Falcon Ridge and now, she will perform at the Laramie Plains Civic Center Gryphon Theatre.

Friday the 13th is going to be quite lucky for anyone looking for great musical entertainment, as the Gryphon Theater at the Laramie Plains Civic Center presents Screen Door Porch. The Alt-Country, folk and blues band is based out of Jackson Hole. Band mates Seadar Rose and Aaron Davis have released their Sophomore Album, The Fate & The Fruit.
