Laramie Farmers Market

This summer along with some of the changes we reported on earlier, the Laramie Farmers Market downtown will also be adding some new vendors to their list of regular attendees. As normal a bulk of the products being sold at the market will again be very local; of the businesses signed up so far,16 are from Laramie area including Centennial, Fox Park, Cheyenne and Granite Canyon.

This Friday will be the last Farmers Market and it will be held on First Street in front of Medicine Bow Foods. The Market will be held at the same time from 3:00-7:00 pm.   A lot of the same vendors will be their so take advantage of the continuing nice weather and get your produce, bread, salsa, etc for one more week. Jim and Sue Waggoner have been providing high quality meat to Wyoming residents since the early 80s. Both grew up caring for livestock and wanted the same character building experience for their children. When friends and neighbors started asking to purchase meat, it was a natural transition for the Waggoners to make a lifestyle into a family business.

Even those more conscious of meat processing and terms like “all natural” and “free-range” would be hard pressed to find fresh, locally raised chicken in the meat and dairy section of the grocery store...

With no intent to be sacrilegious, Holy Habanero truly is a hot sauce set apart. Jonathan Howdeshell, Greg Coffey, Tom Rardin and Matt Bath knew excellence when they tasted it in Doña Lucena’s family recipe. Besides making enough hot sauce to satisfy their own addictions, these four pursued the business of producing large quantities of Holy Habanero because they felt it was something too delicious

Ricky Kent and Danielle Monique, along with a great staff, run and own Sheila Bird Farm. Sheila Bird is Danielle’s mother after whom the farm is named. Their farm is located just over the border in Colorado, off of Owl Canyon Road. Ricky and Danielle sell their vegetables at the Laramie Farmers Market.  They have a wonderful selection of fresh produce.
