Attempted murder case in Laramie in court

The current felony charges entered into Albany County District Court for August.

Two Idaho residents are currently in jail on felony drug charges, in Laramie.

Two people, a mother and son, are facing charges in Tuesday’s burglary of a Laramie Business.

Jacob Scott Anderson was arrested after allegedly confronting a Wells Fargo Bank employee with a gun in the parking lot in Laramie on Tuesday morning according to the Laramie Police Department. The LPD says they arrested the would-be bank robber thanks to the quick action taken by the bank employee and witnesses who called dispatch to relay Anderson's description and location.

On Sunday, a convicted killer who had missed a court hearing after being pardoned in Mississippi was found in Laramie. Joseph Ozment was at a Laramie hotel when investigators found him to serve him a court summons. Authorities say Ozment then tried to flee from the investigators in his car.

Crime is one thing that we fortunately do not have to deal with too much here in Laramie, but there are certainly moments when we are all reminded that it does exist. There have been several instances of crime over the past few months that we have covered, but we wanted to take a look at Laramie crime in 2011 as a whole.

This past week a University of Wyoming student from Casper settled with the City of Laramie over a tasering incident that occurred back in April of 2010 outside The Library Sports Bar & Brewery in Laramie. According to the lawsuit following the incident and reports by the Casper Start Tribune, Laramie Police responded to complaints that UW student Patrick Lewallen would not leave the Library Bar.
