Jan. 6 riots

Former President Donald Trump is dangling the prospect of pardons for supporters who participated in the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol if he returns to the White House.

Cheney referred to the rioters as ''a mob that was assembled by President Trump, was provoked by him.''

Cheney appeared on both the ''CBS This Morning" and "Good Morning America" programs to talk about her role in a congressional committee investigating the riots.
