House Fire

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a house fire in south Cheyenne Saturday evening.

Investigators believe the fire began much earlier because it was burning heavily when firefighters arrived.

The victim's name and age have not been released.

The fire was found in the rear exterior wall of a detached garage on the property.

According to the National Weather Service, the area experienced wind gusts of up to 59 mph Sunday.

Fortunately, no one was injured when a fire broke out in northeast Cheyenne this (Thursday) morning.

Investigators spent much of the day sifting through charred debris from the home.

The coroner said the husband and wife both died of smoke inhalation.

The cause of a devastating house fire that killed a Cheyenne woman two weeks ago may never be known.
