The Assistant U.S. Attorney said he would like to have all the cases resolved as one, but that may not be possible. The next status conference with the court is Aug. 8.
The High on Life defendants will call the Yellowstone Justice Center in Mammoth, YNP, and speak to U.S. Magistrate Mark Carman during a status conference hearing, according to the docket in their federal court posting.
It is unknown whether the men will be returning soon from Canada to the United States and whether a plea deal is in the works. They would face the charges in the federal courthouse at Mammoth, YNP.
The case, both legal and digital, started Monday when a park visitor reported to a park ranger that he saw several people off the boardwalk at Grand Prismatic Spring on Saturday.
The three men were charged with violating a regulation that requires people to stay on designated board walks or trails, and with creating or maintaining "a hazardous or physically offensive condition."
The adventure group, High On Life, has offered an apology along with a promise of a donation for every positive post using the hashtag #DonationforYellowstone.
