The Laramie Police Department has posted a statement on the Colorado Springs shootings.

22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich is facing five murder charges and five charges of committing a bias-motivated crime causing bodily injury.

No damage or graffiti was found inside the church, and due to the content and location of the graffiti, police believe the crime was motivated by hate.

The three white men convicted of murder in Ahmaud Arbery’s fatal shooting have been found guilty of federal hate crimes.

A disturbing question has surfaced lately in Wyoming due to some unfortunate events in Wyoming that have received national attention, but that question is, "Does Wyoming have a hate crime law?"

Los Angeles police have announced the arrest of a suspect in an alleged attack by a pro-Palestinian group on Jewish men outside a restaurant earlier in the week.

The bill would target crimes in which the victim was targeted because of actual or perceived race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, or physical, intellectual or developmental disability.

Judge Robert Summerhays gave Matthews him credit for the 18 months he already has spent in jail. Matthews pleaded guilty to both state and federal charges.

A bill creating a hate crime law was first introduced in the Wyoming Legislature in 1999, but so far no such proposal has become law in the state.

The U.S. Department of Justice event commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr., Hate Crimes Prevention Act.
