The Secretary of State's Office will work with the Legislature to answer the question of candidate eligibility.

The Casper Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored the forum with candidates Republican Mark Gordon, Democrat Mary Throne and Rex Rammell of the Constitution Party.

Friess and Gordon appeared to have made amends Thursday, embracing and chatting amiably in front of reporters.

Wyoming officials will meet Wednesday to certify the election results.

Friess finished second to Mark Gordon in Tuesday's primary.

The winner is expected to face state Rep. Mary Throne in the general election.

Some election watchers put Friess, 78, in a dead heat with State Treasurer Mark Gordon.

Haynes contends he is a resident of Wyoming.

Mary Throne advocated development of all energy resources, while Rex Wilde and Ken Casner leaned more toward developing renewables such as wind and solar power.

Trent, the Albany County district attorney, said there had been a complaint filed against the candidate and there was a “pending investigation.”
