Average retail gasoline prices in Wyoming have risen 6.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.42/g yesterday.

Even as oil prices were in rally mode to end last week, gasoline prices continued lower with the national average moving lower for the third consecutive week.

As the Dow Jones average swung violently, oil prices lost considerable ground, falling below $60 per barrel for the first time this year.

All of this and more will lead to average gas prices being 25-50 cents per gallon higher by Memorial Day.

This time around, oil prices have been the culprit for gasoline prices rising to their highest level in over 130 days.
