Freedom Has A Birthday

The unofficial start to the annual Laramie Jubilee Days celebration was two days ago, when Freedom Has A Birthday took over Washington Park. It's one of the more popular events in the Gem City year in and year out.

Ventriloquism, puppetry and illusions are just a regular day on the job for Jillybean and Emmaus Road Community Church is bringing her to Laramie for Freedom Has A Birthday. Jillybean will have two shows on stages in Washington Park on Independence Day and there will be free balloon animals at the Emmaus booth.

For over twenty years, Freedom Has A Birthday has been the place to be if you’re in Laramie on the Fourth of July, so Laramie Live will be there! Stop by our booth between 10 AM and 3 PM for your chance at some free goodies, including t-shirts, or just to chat with your source for everything Laramie.

Most people know that Freedom Has A Birthday is the kickoff of Laramie Jubilee Days. But did you know that a children's parade is the official start of Freedom Has A Birthday?

In 2010 Laramie Jubilee Days celebrated its 70th year as the town's major summer-time rodeo and carnival. This year festivities start on July 4th with Freedom Has a Birthday in Washington Park and run through July 15th. The evnts started in 1940 to celebrate Wyoming Statehood Day, which is July 10th...
