Flash flood season will be here soon.

That lakeside campsite had become TOO lakeside.

The watch takes effect Thursday afternoon and includes the communities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Torrington, Wheatland, Douglas and Casper.

The watch will take effect at noon today [June 12] Heavy rain and small hail are also possible.

Both communities have an 80 percent chance of precipitation today with heavy rain possible.

Folks need to be on the lookout for flooded roads, streams and other low lying areas the next few days.

The watch area includes both Cheyenne and Laramie as the rest of the southeast part of the state.

The Flood Watch remains in effect until further notice.
