Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute

The federal government owns 68 percent of the federal minerals in the state.

The Wyoming Oil and Gas Fair this year will be hosted by the University of Wyoming's Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI).

Lon Whitman will be working with EORI from its Casper office and his responsibilities will include corporate outreach project development and relationship development.

The tool features different display options, and users can get information in multiple formats including text, tabular formats and shapefiles.

The Director of the University of Wyoming Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute says the University’s Energy Innovation Center can help the state’s small oil operators retrieve 5 to 15 percent of the state’s stranded oil reserves.

University of Wyoming researchers, students and industry will soon have world-class energy research facilities at their disposal when the Energy Innovation Center (EIC) opens in January.
