A bill that would prohibit the teaching of Critical Race Theory in Wyoming classrooms and in workplace training for public employers has been filed in the Wyoming Legislature.
Senate File 62 would force Wyoming school districts to prominently post learning materials [such as books] and activities used to teach students on the district website.
Wyoming Senators Lummis and Barrasso, along with 9 other Senators, have accused the Biden Administration of "colluding" with Teacher's Unions to "silence" parents who oppose Critical Race Theory and COVID-19 mandates.
Superintendent Jillian Balow, who has been a vocal critic of Critical Race Theory in Wyoming Classrooms, has come out strong in favor of the legislation.
The legislation would require that "civics curriculum and materials would be published on school district websites so that parents and taxpayers could review them.''
