The two prosecutors in charge of the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump have suddenly resigned, throwing the future of the probe into question.
The New York attorney general’s office says that it is conducting a criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump’s business empire, expanding what had previously been a civil probe.
The release said that the suspect, in addition to the active warrants and the fact that he was driving with a suspended license, was arrested for felony eluding, numerous traffic violations, and possession of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine.
The case started in 2016 when federal agents identified cash-down purchases of $10,000 or more on vehicles, found suspicious cash deposits, and other evidence.
