Hill challenged the 2013 law, and a divided Wyoming Supreme Court struck down the law as unconstitutional.

She had filed the suit in February 2016 as Stubson was challenging Liz Cheney for a U.S. House seat.

Stubson's attorney argued that comments made by Stubson about Hill are protected political speech.

Hill alleges that she was defamed on his campaign website in an apparently reprinted interview with a journalist.
