The city took over animal control when a funding agreement with the shelter for animal control services could not be reached.

Sue Casteneda of the Animal Shelter will call in live to the ''Weekend in Wyoming'' program tomorrow morning to discuss the situation. The interview will air at 11:05 a.m on AM 650, KGAB.

Animal Control would like to locate the dog for rabies monitoring purposes.

The victim said the bite happened in the 2200 block of Spring Creek in the area of the alley entrance on Friday, according to the LPD.

Animal Control emphasizes that since victims could be exposed to rabies, all animal bites must be reported immediately.

The division suggests citizens concerned about a nuisance cat or a cat at large may trap the cat themselves and take the cat to the Laramie Animal Shelter. But the division will no longer loan out cat traps.
