In Laramie, the situation is tense as evacuation orders go out. Residents are urged to stay clear and let emergency crews do their vital work.

As October rolls in, the sound of sirens will fill the air—it's that time again for emergency tests across Albany and Laramie counties.

An evacuation order that was put in place before firework making materials were located inside a north Laramie home has been lifted.

Albany County Emergency Management says its Public Warning System is "working as expected," even though no emergency sirens sounded during Tuesday afternoon's Tornado Warning.

A gas line strike remains under invesitgation.

The post also reminds people that a pre-evacuation order that had been issued earlier has now been cancelled.

Crews monitor Bear Creek Fire for hot embers to prevent spread in Albany County.

The Bear Creek Fire was estimated at 40 percent containment and 1444 acres,at last report according to Albany County Emergency Management.

The post says "Please make preparations to evacuate the area in the event that a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued."

A wet weekend is expected in southeast Wyoming, which could worsen the flooding.
