Wyoming ranked 16th among states that watch the most television. West Virginia led the list with an average of 4 hours and 30 minutes per day; their state's favorite genre is soap operas.

Utah residents watch the least television, with an average of 2 hours and 13 minutes per day; their favorite genre is cartoons. Colorado had the fifth lowest average nationwide at 2 hours and 28 minutes of television per day.

Like Wyoming, news is the top genre in Colorado and Montana, which averages 2 hours and 26 minutes daily. Idaho averages 2 hours and 56 minutes per day and their favorite genre is cooking shows. Our neighbors in Nebraska spend an average of 2 hours and 59 minutes in front of the television and their favorite genre is sports.
