The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says some severe storms are possible in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle on Monday.

The agency posted the following statement on its website:

"Severe Weather Outlook now includes a Slight Risk for severe storms across the Nebraska Panhandle, while a Marginal Risk persists for a part of eastern Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle. The strongest storms are expected to be across the western Nebraska Panhandle today, and will be more probable during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Any severe storms would produce damaging straight-line winds and large hail as the main hazards.''
