The Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service says there is a very good chance Cheyenne will see it's first significant snowfall of the fall season this weekend.

The weather service, in it's Cheyenne forecast, says there is an especially  good chance of the white stuff  towards Saturday evening:

"Saturday Night
A chance of rain before 3am, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Sunday
A chance of rain and snow before 8am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Sunday Night
Rain and snow likely before midnight, then snow likely between midnight and 5am, then rain and snow likely after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 29.
Columbus Day
A chance of rain and snow before 7am, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 44.''
While Cheyenne has a good chance of snow over the next few days, areas above 6500 are likely to see higher accumulations, according to the forecast.
