The Laramie Main Street Alliance has partnered with the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance to celebrate Small Business Saturday in Laramie on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Over 50 locally-owned businesses will participate throughout Laramie by hosting promotions, pop-up shops, and special events.  A full list of Laramie’s participating businesses is available here or by following the Downtown Laramie Facebook page.

“Instead of getting up early and pushing and rushing, we’re creating this day that you can go out and stroll and enjoy the day,” says Trey Sherwood, Executive Director of the Laramie Main Street Alliance.  “Whether it’s getting a cup of coffee locally or checking some items off of your holiday wish list, there’s a full range of activities that you can partake in,” says Sherwood.

The Laramie Main Street Alliance is encouraging shoppers to look local first for holiday gifts and use the hashtag #shoplaramie on their favorite social media feeds to share their local purchases.

This is the fourth annual Small Business Saturday, which encourages consumers to do their holiday shopping locally instead of funneling their money into big box stores.  By spending locally, shoppers can invest money back into their communities.
