Those wishing to attend events in remembrance of September 11, 2001 have many options in Laramie.

The first event of the day is hosted by the Laramie Fire Department and begins at 8:45 a.m. Those attending are asked to show up around 8:30 a.m. This event takes place on Fourth Street directly in front of the Laramie Fire Department Station No. 1. This 9/11 Ceremony will include a flag ceremony as well as opening comments by officials at the Laramie Fire Department. This event is free to the public.

Another option for those on September 11 is at the Albany County Public Library from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.  The Hope From The Flowers event facilitates open discussion, and families are invited to attend. This event is also free to the public.

In addition, the American Legion is hosting a ceremony at the American Legion at 417 E. Ivinson. The Remembrance Ceremony Begins at 6:00 p.m. and is free to the public.

People are also invited to participate in the National Day of Service and Remembrance at War Memorial Stadium. Registration begins at 5 p.m. At this event people are encouraged to climb the steps of War Memorial Stadium in honor of September 11, 2001. The Stair Climb begins at 6:00 p.m. This event is also free to the public.
