The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is predicting another day of cool, wet weather in southeast Wyoming today (Thursday) ahead of a warming trend that should get underway on Friday and continue through Saturday and Sunday.

But cooler, wetter weather will resume on Memorial Day (Monday) according to forecasters. The agency posted this statement on its website on Thursday morning:

''One more day of cooler than normal temperatures will be followed by mild temperatures this weekend. Afternoon highs today will only reach the 40s and 50s with scattered Rain/Snow Showers. However, temperatures will climb to the 60s and perhaps 70s by Sunday. An afternoon thunderstorm or two also cannot be ruled this weekend.''
