Rachel Derner Is The 2020 Miss Rodeo Wyoming. She is the current Miss Laramie Jubilee Days 2019. Rachel was crowned on Friday by last years winner, Hannah Ostheimer (Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2019). Miss Rodeo Wyoming is from Laramie and she is the 16th lady to hold the title out of Laramie. She is also the 62nd titleholder ever of the Miss Rodeo Wyoming. In order for Rachel to win she had to impress the judges with her horsemanship, personality, and appearance.

The 22-year-old grew up in 4-H and FFA. When Rachel was in high school she became an advocate for agriculture and was a state reporter for the Wyoming FFA from 2015-2016. Currently, Rachel is attending the University of Wyoming where she is studying Agriculture Communications. During her time at UW, she has also been a handler for Cowboy Joe the universities mascot.

Upon being named Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2020, Rachel also received a briefcase, banners, a hat can, banner pin, trophy saddle, belt buckle, spurs, subscription to PSN (ProRodeo Sports News), PRCA rulebook, and a personally designed pair of chaps from Tim Bath.

In December, Rachel will represent the Cowboy State at Miss Rodeo America 2020. This takes place from December 1st through the 8th at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV. Derner will not take over as the role of Miss Rodeo Wyoming until the beginning of next year.

Rachel had this to say after winning, “I am honored to be Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2020. I look forward to sharing my love of rodeo, agriculture and all things western while traveling to the country’s best rodeos.”

Once Rachel completes her reign as Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2020, she will receive an academic scholarship.
