Quick Response Snuffs Out Albany County Grass Fire
A report from someone who saw a lightning strike and the fast response of firefighters and sheriff's deputies kept a grass fire from doing any real damage on Tuesday evening.
That's according to an Albany County Sheriff's Office Facebook page post. Sheriff Aaron Applehans told Laramie Live about a report of a lightning strike near Beaufort and Richards Road at around 6 p.m.
Prompt Action Stops Fire From Potentially Spreading
The Veaduwoo Volunteer Fire Department responded, and the fire was quickly extinguished before causing any serious damage or injuries.
Historic Wyoming Hotels
Wyoming's once wild west also incorporated a little luxury. Several fine hotels dotted the state, along trade routes and railroad lines. They have rich histories, and of course, ghost legends.
