If you have ever wanted to see a cold-war era missile site from the inside, you'll have that chance starting today.

The Quebec 1 Wyoming Historic Site north of Cheyenne opens for tours today from 8:30 am until 5 p.m. While the official grand opening celebration is not until this weekend, the facility opens to the public today, according to the museum Facebook page.

The page describes the site as follows:

''Quebec 01 State Historic Site consists of a guided tour of the control center capsule and a self-guided tour of the facility and grounds. The control center capsule tour runs every 1/2 hour and is limited to 12 people. We take reservations for 6 people on each tour and the other 6 are first-come, first serve. We hope you join us the week of August 13-18 for the grand opening. Regular operating hours will be 8:30-5:00 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Fees are $6 per person, $5 for Military, $2.00 for ages 12-17 and kinds 11 and under are free! Call the Historic Governor's Mansion at 777-7878 to reserve your spot or come on out!"

''Here's how you find Quebec 01! Interstate 25 north out of Cheyenne about 30 miles and then take Exit 39. Turn left at the stop sign, drive one quarter mile west, then turn left again It should be well marked with WYDOT and State Parks signage!"
