A bill that has been filed for consideration in the upcoming session of the Wyoming Legislature could lead to Wyoming eventually staying on daylight saving time all year long.

House Bill 14 is sponsored by Republican Representative Dan Laursen of Park County.

Similar bills have failed in the legislature over the past few years. Supporters of such legislation generally argue that there is no real reason for the twice-a-year time change and that it disrupts sleep schedules and causes accidents.

Opponents in past years have said the time change is a tradition that most people like and that it "helps farmers." Some opponents have also argued that being on a different schedule for part of the year than surrounding states would be bad for Wyoming businesses, but Laurson's bill would only request the time change if at least three surrounding state's did the same.

So what do you think? Do you want state lawmakers to approve HB 14 or not?
