A small airplane flying into Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody crashed last Saturday, leading to significant delays. There were no injuries. The small private plane was flying in from Salt Lake City and was transporting a flight instructor and student.

The plane ended up upside-down on the runway and needed to be righted before traffic on the runway could continue.

The Airport was closed to traffic for two hours and the incident is being investigated by Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
