National Weather Service: Remembering The 1979 Cheyenne Tornado
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is memorializing the devastating 1979 tornado which stuck Cheyenne on July 16 of that year.
The agency has posted this statement on it's Facebook page:
''On July 16th, 1979, a deadly tornado left a path of destruction across Cheyenne. As we approach the upcoming anniversary, we are looking for personal stories, videos, and photos that you are willing to share with us to commemorate this powerful and historic storm on our webpage.''
