A mountain lion meandered its way through a Loveland neighborhood this week

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reported a wild cat was spotted in the backyard of homes on Durango Drive near Mehaffey Park.

The mountain lion was noticed by one neighbor after her dogs started going crazy at the kitchen sliding glass door. Another neighbor reported seeing the cat lying on their backyard rocks.

Colorado Parks & Wildlife told the newspaper that this is the third mountain lion sighting reported in the Loveland area so far in 2019.

Others were reported in May at U.S. Route 34 and Glade Road; and in June on Wild Plum Drive near Poison Lake.
