A 31-year-old Idaho man is dead following a single-vehicle rollover south of Alpine, Wyoming late Tuesday night.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Ricardo Bernal was killed when the driver of the SUV he was riding in swerved to miss a deer near milepost 113 on U.S. Highway 89.

The Patrol says the SUV slid off the highway and rolled one time before coming to rest on its wheels.

Bernal, who was unbuckled in the front seat, was thrown from the SUV and died at the scene.

Another person in the SUV was reportedly injured, but the Patrol did not identify them or elaborate on the extend of their injuries.
